Naomi Watts: Cinema's Postmodern Mother of Mirrors
Just as Janet Leigh was the blank blonde "other" that acted as birth-mother/murder victim to a new modern cinema via Manchurian Candidate, Psycho, and Touch of Evil, so now comes Naomi Watts doing the same for our postmodern: Mulholland Drive, Eastern Promises, and remakes of The Ring, King Kong, Funny Games.
